Updating a Loan Number

Once a case has been submitted via the DMM Web Portal, only the Servicer can update or change the loan number.  
 

If you are the Borrower's Attorney:

If the loan number needs to be updated on a case that has already been submitted to the Servicer, simply reach out to the Servicer via Portal messaging and request that they update the loan number.

To contact the Servicer and request an update to the loan number:

  1. Login to the DMM Web Portal.
  2. Click on the borrower's name to open their Borrower Information Page.
  3. Locate the History Section of the page.
  4. Click the New Message Button.
  5. On the Messaging Window under Recipients, make sure the Servicer Checkbox is checked.
  6. For the message subject, enter Loan Number Update.
  7. Provide the new loan number and any other relevant information in the message body.
  8. Click Submit Message.

To update the loan number:

  1. Login to the DMM Web Portal.
  2. Click the borrower's name to open their Borrower Information Page.
  3. On the left-hand navigation panel, locate Review Options.
  4. Click the Edit Loan Number Button.
  5. Enter the correct loan number.
  6. Click the Save Information Button.

An entry will be added to the Borrower's History Log indicating that the loan number has been updated by the Servicer.
